Thank you to all the volunteers who have offered to come along on Saturday 25th and/or Sunday 26th September to help our on our pilot project. We will be meeting at 10am on both days at the outdoor picnic area outside the canteen. We should be finished about 1pm both days. We will be doing activities like sanding, painting and weeding so please please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on and/or getting dirty. Light refreshments will be provided including tea, coffee, squash, water, biscuits etc. We will be undercover most of the day so don’t be put off on Sat or Sun morning if it is raining. If you have any queries, please contact Max on 01822 618 715 (forwards to mobile on Sat/Sun) or email contact@westden.org.uk. Thanks again for your offers of help and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Volunteers dig in to help the environment

Volunteers and gardeners gathered together as environmental charity Westden held a volunteer afternoon at Tavistock Community Primary School as part of their latest major project called the School Community Landscape Network (CLaN).

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers…

Max and Sue were overjoyed to see 15 pupils and 17 volunteers turn out for our first day working on the ground at Tavistock Community Primary School for the Community Landscape Network (CLaN). The rain held off and we managed to acheive so much in just a little time.
